Need Suggestions for Microbrews

So my buddy is coming home from Annapolis in a little less than 2 weeks, and I thought we'd celebrate it by picking him up some good beer.

What I'm looking for is a mid-range (price and taste-wise) microbrew that doesn't have an overly acquired taste to it. Something original, but something that can be enjoyed on the very first taste.

Also, I know some aren't available in all areas, so if they were available in most parts of NY, that'd be a plus.

Dogfish head 90minute IPA.
