Need Suggestions for CPU cooling

I'm soon getting a new computer upgrade and am stuck on what kind of cpu cooling to get. My system will consist of an Epox 8k7a, AMD 1.33 AJHYA, and Crucial PC2100 DDR ram. My case will be an Antec SX1240 Full Tower. I know that the Delta 7k fan is the best according to most people, but I think the sound would be overwhelming for me. Thus, I'd like some suggestions for a decent cooling method. Things I have thought about include:

HS+Fan Adapter+80mm Fan
HS+30 CFM Delta 60 mm fan
HS+60mm fan+Fan Adapter+80mm fan (all stacked on each other)

Comments, suggestions? I'm looking for what good heatsinks you guys would suggest that are available online and not backordered for weeks like the Glaciator and the Swiftech (ouch $$$). I'd like to minimize noise as much as is feasibly possible while putting my CPU to work.

Thanks

hmmm...im getting a system like your's :)

check my thread on >$30 HSF units...i asked for quiet/cheap/good performance...yes, im very picky :)

as for case fans...one word: Panaflow. They make super-quiet fans...that pump some pretty darn good CFMs. Their louder fans are still fairly quiet by all standards.

you can check out the coolness here

As for overclocking, I'd like to push my cpu, but it doesn't have to be XTREME! (the x means its even more extreme), but I'm figuring 1500-1600 from the 1.33? I'd like it to go as high as it can, but I'm not willing to invest in water cooling or alot of noise like the delta.

Also, the Antec case comes standard with 2 additional case fans with options to put two more 80mm fans in front of the hard drive unit.

It was just a thought I had about stacking. I'm not sure if it would even be helpful at all. Seems like if you had the 60 blowing on the HS and then the 80 would be blowing cooler air for the 60 to send into the HS it would lead to cooler temps... that way a stock 60 fan that would come with the HS would work and be little extra cost. Any of you guys with adapters tried this?

I don't know if fan stacking would be that big of an improvement if at all... Theoretically if you forced air out of one fan into another it should just keep speeding up the air, but the speed of the fan could be a hinderance actually not speeding the air up at all... I read an article recently (don't remember where, someone else may know) about a "ghetto" cooler where they stacked 5 deltas on top of each other and the net cooling effect was 2 degrees celcius. Not that big of an increase for 5 times the sound and power consumption.

Get a decent HSF like the Taisol 760 and if you have a drill...you can do your own case mod! I did...with a friend of mine and it's awesome. Sorry no pics. Artic silver is a must!
