I really don't want to mod my case, so its really not an option for me. But I would like to put a fan inside of my case just for some extra airflow between 2 Radeon 6970s to hopefully make them run a few degrees cooler.
Is it necessary for a fan to be pulling air from the outside of the case? Could I use some velcro to mount a fan to the inside of the side of the case and position it to aim between the 2 cards? I was thinking either that or mount it with some zip ties in the front of the HDD rack which would position it to blow between the cards.
I will probably be ok without the side fan, but extra airflow inside definitely wouldn't hurt.
Also need some recommendations for some fans and some possible alternative methods to mount.
