Need suggestions for a new video card

I need to replace an EVGA e-GeGorce 8800 GS with something comparable or better. I do no gaming, but I do play and edit video using Windows 764 bit). The card must not be any longer than the 8800 gs(9 inches) or I will have serious problems fitting it in. My system has two 1600x1200 monitors which I would prefer to connect via 2 DVI outputs. I was sort of thinking about this one at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161287 However, it doesn't have two DVI's and at the HIS site they indicate that the maximum resolution is "1920x1200 (single-link DVI) or 2560x1600 (dual-llink DVI)"! What does that mean.... just 2560x1600 total for both monitors or 2560x1600 for each monitor? I had always thought that it meant the latter but I have never seen it listed that way.

While I don't really need the gaming horsepower, my second choice is a 5770, primarily for the two DVI's: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102858 . I haven't been able to confirm the length of this one.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

They are dual dual link dvi.

So each monitor can display 2560x1600 per connector.

That's what I thought. That description at the HIS site, however, caused me to wonder.

I was just reading the user reviews at Newegg for the 5750 and 5770; it seems there have been some driver problems with the 5700 series cards.... especially with 64 bit Windows. Do you know if they have solved that issue? And did you have any problems with your system? I see that we have very similar systems... except for the overclocking(something I was gonna do... but never got around to!)
