i'm planning on building a new rig and here's what i've decided so far:

mobo: asus p4p800 deluxe
cpu: p4 2.4c 800fsb
ram: 2x512 crucial pc2700 cas 2.5

i'm debating on whether or not to shell out more money for pc3200 ram cuz rite now crucials having a deal on pc2700's. anyways, assuming everything else is topnotch like vid card, hd, etc, what would u suggest within a reasonable price range? most likely i'll stick with the mobo, but any opinions on a better performance cpu/ram combo? thanks in advance!:wine:

mobo= kick ass
cpu= kick ass
memory - would be kick ass if u'd get yourself 3200. 2700=333mhz, 3200=400mhz, and u have a 400mhz cpu and mobo.

excellent, thanks for the advice ..
i'll probably stick with crucial but do u know if the fact that its cas3 rather than cas2 is gonna affect perf or o/cability?
