currently i have a JBL Northridge Series Center channel speaker. its a 2-way speaker and it has a little more information on this link here.

i am looking to upgrade to a 3way speaker. the rest of my speakers are JBL as well. my current center speaker has some wierd crackling sound and i guess the speaker is just starting to fade out (although i have the warranty on it) however, i would like a 3way speaker that gives a better sound, as this one sounds kind of muffled at times, and I have just heard all around better center speakers.

if anyone has any suggestions as what type to look for that would be great. i'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg for one, but also not looking to spend $100 for the best speaker in my market. It is kind of hard to just go out and test center channel speakers in stores to see which sounds the best.

here is a pic of my current setup.

adire audio is coming out with plans on a new center channel end of the month, i have no clue on cost, all i know is that it incorporates the Extremis 6.8 and a custom xover and box design, which gives it a +/- 1.25 dB from 50 Hz to 20 kHz.

Stick with JBL. Your front and center speakers should be timbre-matched for the best sound. This means sticking with the same brand/family of speakers.

Exactly, get a JBL S-Center series 2. You might find those in fleabay.

they didn't carry the Studio series when i purchased mine. they are 3-way i believe. have you actually heard one of these in action? i'm curious as to how it would sound.

Anyways, just get the same kind as your front mains.

Man.... Perceptive little suckers around here! When it comes to flogging the dolphin, you guys don't miss a thing!

Oh yeah, just stick with the same thing as your mains. That's what I am going for. I have nice mains and crappy center... Going to match them up soon.

also its funny because thats not even what the lotion is for ...

some people DO actually use lotion for OTHER things than fapping, like dry skin on OTHER parts of the body lol.
