Maybe I can get a few suggestions for this.
I have a friend who has a machine (3yrs old) with a Diamond Fire GL 2000 video adapter. His primary mission was to work with Softimage, Photo Shop and After Effects. And that he has done quite happily with no issues. He has taken an interest in games and found that they will not run on the Fire GL 2000. It seems that it will only run at 32 bit, and the games want 16 bit. Or there could be other reasons as well. We have tried several drivers with no success.
Yeah the card is old, Diamond is no more. Is there a way to get this card to run at 16bit?
If not can anyone offer a replacement brand/model that will run games, but also not compromise too much on the Softimage graphics?
