need stuff to do in denver for mid july trip

me and one of my friends are going up to denver on my senior trip. Anyone been in denver and could tell of some good places to go there? also, how far is NORAD or whatever that hug military installation that is built into a mountain is from denver and do they give tours?

honestly, run away to the mountains and meditate as long as you can. its definately cheap, and your mind will thank you.

head up to Vail...its fun and nice there in the summer.

You're thinking of Cheyenne Mountain ... it's about 80 or 90 miles south of Denver, near Colorado Springs. They don't do public tours anymore.

In or near Colorado Springs you have Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. I've heard that the Coors brewery in Denver gives tours. What kind of stuff are you looking for?

I always liked the drive up to and past echo lake. Cant think of what mountain though.
