Need SSD help!

Hey guys, I just finished installing my SSD today, it is a 128gb crucial M4. I have a problem. I installed BF3 beta today, played it, decided I didnt like it, and deleted it. Problem is when I deleted the folders associated with the game, my SSD will only shows 80GB free out of 119. I have no other files on my system that even take up to 3 GB combined (fresh install from hours ago), meaning BF3 files are still hiding somewhere. the Beta itself is 20gb in size. I've looked everywhere in my folders to no avail trying to free up space, no idea where it could have gone. Even enable hidden folder views but nothing. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Otherwise I'll have to reformat.

Second question, how can I check which firmware I currently have on my crucial? Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

try ccleaner? check sounds like you already checked various temp/hidden folders.

If you have installed windows 7 64bit and fully updated it, this should swallow around 20GB of SSD. Have you taken this into account? Have you disabled hibernation? This will also swallow the same amount of space as you have RAM. What about system restore? Page file size?

To check the FW revision, open device manager, double click disk drives, double click on your crucial, go to the details tab, select hardware IDs as the property, and look at the last digits on the rows of data. these should all be the same. Lastest FW is 0009 but I think they shipped with 0001 or 0002 if I am not mistaken.

Thank you Coup sir! Hibernate was the culprit, I am back to 92 GB of free space 😀 And thanks schmee for ccleaner, gave me another 1 GB. Managing a 128gb SSD is tough, wish I went for a 256gb or bigger ssd now haha.
