Need specs on a standard 19" server rack

I bought this rack in a lot sale for next to nothing. I got it home, stripped it to where I wanted it at then went to start fitting stuff on it. Nothing fit, nothing! I measured the center line of the equipment mounting holes that I want to install and they are 18 1/8 inches. No matter what I did I couldn't mount my computer stuff in the rack as the rails measure 18 1/2" apart and the CL of the holes are 19 1/2" apart. Is this right for a standardized 19" equipment rack? If it isn't I'll scrap is and if so, how does one mount stuff on it?

This is my new toy and hopefully it isn't a waste. I didn't know what forum to post this in so hopefully this is the right one.

Got her figured out. Its a non standard telco rack but still useable.

How are you using it? did you have to modify it all to make your gear fit?

The rack rails are wider than standard rails and I used special angle rails to mount my regular stuff in it. The rails came with the rack so it seems like someone else had problems before I did. Here is some images the mounts used and the overall rack:

Eventaully I want to get a real 19" rack but this will do for now. This is still a work in progress.

Thats a lot of money to me. I have a whole list of stuff and the 19" rack isn't even on it. You can't touch a decent (doors, sides, power strip) used rack for under $300 used anyways.
