This dell system uses a 945G chipset.
The only info found about the mb is that it's a "dell" mb.
The manual is fairly good, but not quite as specific as needed.
The mb has pci-e x16 and x1.

For video, can this mb accept any new single pci-e card, or is there a limit with this chipset?

For memory, the manual says either DDR2 400-MHz (PC2-3200) and DDR2 533-MHz (PC2-4300) memory. On RTPE, there is no 4300 listed. Is this memory old and discontinued or just not listed there?

1) Any single slot PCI-E graphics card should work fine in a regular sized case
2) PC2-4300 is still widely available

Using Crucial's memory selector, it doesn't mention 4300, but does mention 4200.
Being not very informed with the current state of memory, does the 533 Mhz come in both 4200 and 4300? This is what is a little confusing.

The manual states to use 533-MHz (PC2-4300), though since crucial lists only the 4200, the 4200 supposedely works also. Any major differences between the two?

I would just upgrade with genertic RAM, Corsair and higher rated memory brands have had problems with my Dell system.

Any PCI-e video card today will run on an x16 lane bus given you have enough PSU wattage to dispose of.
