need sources and help in a pursuasive speech on WW2

I've chosen for a school pursuasive speech "Why it was necessary for the U.S. to drop the atomic bomb on Japan in WW2" because of a recent thread here. I know why it was necessary and such, and does anyone have any sources with information that I could cite to present my case? thanks for the help
