A friend of mine is in USMC Boot Camp

So I was looking for things to send to him, something I can print out.
I'm looking for something funny just to get his mind off of things

Suggestions for anything else I should send him would be nice (Motivational?)

Thanks a lot for you help,

He probably can't get much. They restrict (or at least they used to) a ton of stuff.
Nudie/drug stuff may be confiscated and cause him to get in trouble. Make sure you know before you send it.

Don't worry about motivation, that is one thing boot camp has no shortage of.

    A big can of whoopass.

Sending things or objects such as gifts, candy, cookies, and such is not a good idea for someone in boot camp. The best is a handwritten letter describing life at home. Pictures of a pregnant girlfriend or of a girlfriend partying while he is gone are not good.

Send him a singing christmass card (any singing card really), or send him air force branded stuff.

Unless things have changed a LOT since 1970 when I went through boot camp, he's gonna be very limited to what he can receive. Maybe a funny pic or two.
Don't sweat the motivation...they have "counselors" who are very well trained motivators.

Try contacting dainbramaged...he finished boot camp not long ago.

Of course he said that. He's probably the one who is filtering all the mail and confiscating it for himself.

    Marines huh?

Doesn't matter what you send him as long as on the outside of the envelope you address it as:

To: Senior Drill Sgt xxxxx, Army life must be rough.

maybe you should send him some discharge papers before he's sent to some war and finds out he made the biggest mistake of his life. i cant believe anyone would waste their time and life doing that for this country

Weapons and ammunition, to include knives
    Combustibles, including matches
    Pornography
Gambling devices, to include playing cards and dice
    Alcoholic Beverages
    Drugs
    Tobacco products
    Athletic equipment
    Cameras and radios
    Civilian clothing
    Electrical appliances (except irons)

    Unsolicited food items

These items if sent will be taken away from the recruit.

Some people aren't pussies and understand that "Freedom isn't free".
Someone has to sacrifice for you to insure that you have all the freedom to be the worthless douche that you are.

i wasnt trying to be a douche even though i suspected you guys might react this way. politics aside, how would he feel if his friend came back dead or even worse, horrifically injured and psychologically screwed up? would he think it was worth it from his standpoint? after living like that for a few years i doubt anyone would. and i always vote republican. but i would never let anyone i cared about join the military.

On an indivuidal basis, it's almost never "worth it". I don't agree with the war in Iraq. I think we should bring our boys home and pay $10 a gallon (or more) for gas.

But what kind of country would we be living in if everyone thought like you and what language do you imagine would we be speaking?

We have to have a military. But we also have politicians running that military that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. To me, that's what fucks our boys up and that is the sad part.
