Need some Valentine's Day help

I need some software to take a bunch of jpg's and such, make a presentation out of 'em with background music, maybe some scrolling text and a perhaps even some cool designs to frame the photos or something?

I'd like to be able to burn the whole thing onto a cd that'll play on my dvd player (my player can take vcd's)

Any suggestions?

I personally use Adobe Premiere for slideshows, but I'm sure that is out of your range. There is a lower version of it now I think, but if you're not familiar with it, then it might be too late.

Maybe try Adobe PhotoAlbum or something.

You might also want to check out Adobe Premiere Elements. It's a slimmed down version of Premiere. You'd probably want to get Encore as well. It really depends on how much you want to spend and how often you will do this.
 
I appreciate it...I might have an extra copy of Premiere at my office. I'll have to check. How's the learning curve? Could I knock something out over the weekend?
