Can anyone point me in the general direction of good sites that give you current pricing info on used computer equipment?

I've got an older laptop system that my Mom wants to buy from me (she's been using it for a while, but wants to go ahead and buy it so that she can take it on travels).

I'm not looking to "make a profit" here, just trying to come up with a resale value for the system.

Thanks,

Orion Blue Book---it'll cost you 3.99 to look up your item, but it's the most accurate I've found. Of course, you can always go to e-bay and search the closed auctions for similar items. Ususally not as accurate because of the idiots that over bid.

Didn't think about checking Pricewatch because it's so old. I might check there, thanks.

It's a very old 486 DX/4 100 - brand is GreenNote (clone type, made by Sager, IIRC). It runs Win95 without any problems. Nothing special - she just needs access to her ISP for e-mail, and a word processor and a few older games (mostly solitaire types).

Probably worth about nothing, maybe $20 or $30. I would not pay for one, cuz its so old I would probably have to get a new battery, if i could find one, and it would probably be lots of $$$. Consider you can get a old pentium laptop dirt cheap.

xray: haha, I will buy 40 of them at $20....more likely it is worth about $100 or so depending on memory etc.

Actually the CD and PC card modems are probably the most valuable part, since they are reusable (the CD will even work as a car player with the usual adapter kit; handles skips very well).

Thanks for the links, folks.
