I'm looking for a house down here, but most of the major realtor site searches just plain suck. Our realtor that we're working with isn't helping much either.

Anyone know sites that list stuff with lots of detail on their search criteria?

Try the Tampa Tribune and the St. Petersburg Times. Both have Real Estate listings for the area. You may want to check a Clearwater paper also, I don't have a link for one. They should give you a start

Unfortunately neither will halp me much. I'm more looking for the bottom of the barrel listings - low budget needs work kind of homes. Most of the housing classifieds in the papers only list highlight homes, developments, or generally nothing I'm going to ever afford.

The tampa paper will give you other realtor's website to visit. You don't say how much you want to spend, but I found about 10 houses (mostly needing work) for under 35,00 on the St Peterburg site. Look around, we bought our home by telling the realtor how much we had to spend and asked for all listings under that price. Actually we asked many realtors, and finally found a house that we could afford with a lot of potential. It isn't done yet, but it is getting there. Good luck, Lynn

Thanks Lynn. It kindof sucks right now because I'm trying to do 10 things at once including look for a house and looking for a job too. Hopefully...
