need some type of adapter for a laptop HD

i have one for laptop HD with pins but this doesn't have pins. here's a few pic from my phone(treo 650 so image is the suck)

Most of the time, the slot you see is an adapter OVER the pins. look at the base where the slot hits the body of the HD itself and see if there's any space there. If there is, see if you can GENTLY pull the adapter off.
I think all Dell laptops (and others as well) have that adapter for easy insertion of the hd to the laptop.

Also note that the pins aren't just for data like a desktop IDE drive. They carry power to the HD as well. If you want to hook up the HD to a desktop system, you will need yet another adapter for that. You can get those at most computer stores (ie: not the giant chain stores).
