need some software that will do batch level photo resolution lowering...

hi!

i am lookin for some software that can lower the resolution (and therefore filesize) of about 700 pictures i took with my digital camera on a recent trip.... any ideas?


free would be good too!

b/c i am going to put them up on a website.... thanks!

photoshop =) but that's not quite free.. download a trial of paint shop pro or try gimp or something if u need free....

since u have photoshop.

make sure your ACTION pallette is open/available. if u dont see it, go to WINDOW (on the top menu), go down, and put a check on ACTION to see the pallete.

1. hit the RECORD button in the ACTION pallete. give the action you are about to record a name. ( the RECORD button should be red now. that means u're about to record everything. n then u can just hit play anytime u need this action of resizing these pix.
2. go to IMAGE SIZE (from top menu under EDIT). enter the dimension u would like. hit OK.
3. close the pix u have just resized. n click YES to save the change u've just done on it.
4. hit STOP in the ACTION pallete. u dont need to record anything now. u're done.
5. open the next pix or if u have the pix opened already. in the ACTION pallete, make sure the resize action u've just recorded is highlighted. hit PLAY. it should resize the pict n then close n then save.
