Need some Skyrim mod advice

So, I'm getting back into Skyrim after a long absense.

Going to finish up Dawnguard and then work on Dragonborn.

I tried this pre-made big file full of various mods and graphical improvements and while it was sort of cool... I didn't like how blurry it made things in the distance, and it made it nearly impossible to see in the dark outside or in caves. So I turned that stuff off.

Any advice of mods to use that improve the look of things but aren't outrageously extreme?
