hey guys, MY 🙁 478 ABIT IC7 Motherboard blew up and know i need to buy a new motherboard so I was wondering what 478 Mobo would you recommend and also Which 478 Motherboard is the best 🙂
Current setup:
* Dead ABIT IC7
* Intel P4 3.2 GHz 800 MHz 512kb Northwood CPU
* 2GB DDR Geil 2cas 400 Dual channel Ram
* 2x 200GB IDE HDD Western Digital 8mb
* 2x 300GB Sata HDD Western digital 8mb
* 9800PRO 256MB AGP 8x
* DVD-RW ND-2500

What i would like:
4x Sata Slots
Firewire port
IF IF IF Possible PCI express slot for a brand new graphic card 🙂 (i know this feature isn?t in 478 MOBO design ;( )

You could probably just sell off the 3.2 and start over with an AMD X2 for a minimal loss. The Northwoods have held their value VERY well.

yeah i want to do that but 1st i want to see Crossfire + ATI R520 but i am having a bad feeling that ATI has totally lost it. If the benchmarking done by hardwareanalysis.com is any accurate then ATI R520 was all a huge hype. But anyways If ATI R520 is total joke than i will get :
DFI NF4 Ultra SLI-DR
AMD X2 4400
2GB Geil 433Mhz cas1.5
2x 320GB western digital sata Raid 1
7800GT gigabyte x2 (i can get them at discount 400AUD = $306USD each $ 🙂 )
22" CTR Mitsubishi/Nec Diamond Pro 2070SB-BK (stuff LCD , Gaming is much better on CTR and this monitor owns in gaming . )

But this wouldn't happen untill jan 2006. But i will just keep my Awesome Northwood that runs at 3.8GHz when overclocked.
