Just got my graduation $$ and am ready to buy a monitor and my new system. I am looking at getting a Sony Trinitron G400 for $279 plus tax at a local Sams club. Does this seem like a good deal to you Sony owners? I really wanted a black monitor but to get it local, save on shipping, and get a Sony I may just go this way. What would you smart people do? Thanks in advance all :).

Anyone help me out on this? Sams only has 2 left. Seems like a good deal to get a Sony under $300. What do you guys think?

Thanks GT...I thought it was but have only had this EV700 that came w/ my Gateway so I am far from an expert. I think I may go grab one of these G400's today before they are gone. Anyone using one now or used one and liked it? I will be gaming and doing graphics aps with it. Thanks.

I have a sony g400 and I absolutely love it. It's crisp, bright, and definitely big. I game on it all the time.

I bought mine off of ubid.com for $260, but w/ tax and shipping it came out to be $320. Under $300 is a pretty good deal.

That is a good deal, I had two, running with my G400 DH. Sold one, but still have the other. Very nice monitor!

Great to know the price is right. It looks great however, there are 2 very small horizontal lines on the serenn. Each about 2 iniches from the edge and go clear across the screen. They are very light but noticable. I have an old video card so that may be the deal. Any ideas? thanks

Nevermind about the lines. Just did some looking in the help menus and these claim to be "wires that stabelize the pricture" so I guess they are normal. No big deal :)
