I made a graph of the amount of sunlight per day of the year in new york city. I am supposed to create a sin funtion for this graph (the graph looks a lot like a sin function obviously). The smallest y value for my graph is 556 (minutes of sunlight) and the biggest is 906. So the amplitude of the function would be half of the difference between those numbers right? (which is 175). Im not sure what period, vertiucle shift or phase shift are, or how i would make a function. I used to know, but its been a while. so if someone could help me create a function that would be great. so i basically need to know what those terms are and the format of the function (verticleshift(sinx)period/2.....) thanks!
