Need some quick help with Acronis True Image

So I bought it on newegg. Its installed, and I made a copy of my hard drive to my new hard drive. Formatted the old one and copied some stuff to it. I was using a 160 sata 7200 as a main drive and an 80 IDE as a drive for my music and movies and stuff. Now I have a raptor 74 as a main drive and my 160 as storage. I got all my stuff copied over to the 160 and everything. Now.. do I have to take all those files on the 160 and put them somewhere else and format and partition the 160 to get somewhere to store an image of my first hard drive with acronis? Or does it just make a folder? Im thinkin I have to partition it dont I? If you have had it for a while and know this, please let me know.

I'm a little confused about what you're asking, but Acronis can store the image file (it's only 1 file) on the 160GB regardless of partition size. As long as you have enough space and you're not limited by the partition type then it should work. You don't need a dedicated partition for True Image.
