Need some quick help. How low to go on vcore on T5500?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me where a safe min vcore would be for a T5500 in a T60. Prepping the unit for my father and instead of dropping it bit by bit I'm wondering where I should try as a safe min then I can work my way down from there.

Are you talking about underclocking a Lenovo T60 laptop?

Undervolting but more or less yes and I'm pretty sure its a pure bred IBM and not a Lenovo ;) I am using RMclock which does work with these and though I will not be changing the operating frequency I am looking to reduce the vcore to let the machine run a little cooler.

OK - the T60 is pure Lenovo - but still has IBM on the case. I have one. :)

Why not set DEFAULT in the BIOS for starters? What's the compelling need to go sub-prime?

I ask because my T60 has Core 2 Duo CPU default at 2 GHz w/ 167 MHz bus. I have had it all over the world, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and many states - and it has never had the slightest hint of a heat problem.

Bah, Lenovo would explain seemingly jiggly hinges on day 1 vs no jiggly stiff hinges on a 5 year old T40 =.= Damn you Lenovo, you tricked me.

Also, undervolting reduces heat/power consumption with 0 negative effects :)

OK - my t60 has a T7200 processor. To set defaults, enter BIOS and press F9. Jiggly hinges? Strange. One thing I admire about the T60 is the rugged tightness of the case and hinges. It has dropped 3 feet to a concrete floor at airport security and suffered no damage at all.

I believe the lowest voltage for the T5500 is 0.95.
