Am considering getting for an laptop for my college and personal use. For college use, it will be used for programming purpose mostly in SQL Server 2005(Developer Edition), .NET, Java, etc. While for personal use I do light multimedia tasks say like music, videos, movies, internet browsing, open office, etc.
I am partly AMD fan boy so have considered Acer Aspire 5542, Asus K40AD, K40AF, K40AB, some Toshiba models HP Compaq CQ-40 200 series......
Well that 's all. Any more suggestions on that is a welcome.
*Also I tried getting some info on if SQL Server 2005 is compatible with AMD from some of my teachers and also internet. he teachers gave comments like it's not compatible, it will surely crash and all. While over the internet I got no info on that. So any comment on this is great.
