Need some peace and "quiet" help

I am needing some advice as there are just too many options out there.... I recently moved my "old" A64 x2 4400+ into my wifes computer using the stock HSF in an X-QPack case and the noise is killing me, well that and it bothers me to have it idling around 43c:frown: Since the space is tight I can't drop anything big on it or I would use my spare 7700cu, and I really would like to avoid having to remove the board and replace the backplate. So anyone have a suggestion for me?

arctic freezer 64 pro ? Or is it to big? I dunno, mine is pefectly quiet, silent even. It does idle a 40c, but why would you care about how high it idles? As long as it does't go above 55c under load it's perfectly fine ...

I will have to check the height since it is vertical, but it may just do the trick...the temp isn't terrible I know, I am just used to it sitting around 32c when I had my 7700cu on it, in another case of course. I am mostly annoyed by the noise, I have come to appreciate silence in my computers and this is the only one making a racket that can be heard in the next room:roll:

Get rid of the X-QPack? Isn't that a micro-ATX only case that you can lug around to LAN parties? If it is, you won't be able to fit much more than maybe a Zalman CNPS8000...and even that's pushing it IMO.

Well the case was picked out by her...she wanted something small and "cute" so I am stuck with it, I just want to make it quiet
