Hi Guys,

Sorry to post this, its a really easy thing to do i bet, just not for me...

I've never have to install / remove a PII before and I cant for the life of me figure out how to remove the CPU from its socket...

I'm doing this so I can clean up the HSF.

Push in the tabs at the top of both ends of the cartridge and lift straight up. It needs some very firm force to pull it out of the slot. You may need a bit of help: one person to push the tabs in and the other to pull the cartridge up out of the retainers.

If its a real old one like a PII 233-300, there is a clip on two pins down at the base of the CPU that has to come off.

Yep I should have said - its a P2-350.
