Need some optimal fan direction help

Hey Zeus

Banned
My system has 7 fans.

1 Rear Fan
2 Bottom Of The Case Fans
4 Door Fans

What i'm thinking about is having the bottom two fans blow out and the 4 on the side and one in the rear blow in. Good? Bad? I have a dead spot in the front of the case that is warming up with it's current fan configuration of one rear exhaust and 4 inlet on the door.

I like to keep my airflow going front and back, but I guess with an h50, up and down works too. Might actually help the VGA a bit more too, but I'd see if the VGA is an exhaust or intake and adjust it accordingly.

I wouldn't use the bottom fans as exhaust. I would set up one bottom intake, two side intake, one rear exhaust, one top exhaust, and close up the open fan holes. You shouldn't need more than that.

Another option would be to get one of these puppies and mount a fan to the front of your case, hopefully taking care of the dead spot:

Scythe makes the kama bay as well. A little more basic.

So somewhere between the hours of 1 and 2, I lost my brain. I don't know why I even considered a BOTTOM fan as an exhaust. To be honest, since you're running h20 on your PC, a very simple intake from the bottom and a single top exhaust should keep air flowing decently.

Just saw your Eliminator thread, I'm assuming from the pics the dead area is right around the TEC? Also this might negate the possibility of a front fan bay depending on how many optical drives/HDDs you have in there.

Still, bottom exhaust is a bad idea, and you don't need four side intake fans.

Exactly zag. Dead area is right around the Eliminator itself. What i would love is have the front of the case pull as much air past the eliminator towards the back of the case. I'm getting great temps from the way its setup now but i know it can be better

Figured it out. Reversed all the fans on the door and now have 5 fans acting as Exhaust fans. My Eliminator temps dropped by 4C
