Hello,I have been trying for a while to install a brand new nic card in my machine with no success. This machine is running win 2k. It will see the new network card and install it ,but when the drivers are almost finished loading,the machine will reboot....every time.? Any ideas guys?. Thanks.🙁
 

Need some more system config info, mate 🙂.

Boar / Bios
CPU
OS
Nic / Driver, etc...

... would help with a bit more info 🙂.

I'd personally talk to the NIC people first - a reset at a NIC driver install is definately quite weird - esp. if you should be using W2K or XP ...

Thanks. Ok. This is the second nic i have tried.Does the same thing. New nic ia a Linksys100txv5.1
with installer cd. System is celeron 550,256 sdram win 2k sp2,64 meg agp sis video,20 gig hdd/56 k modem.I have tried to install this in every way windows offers. Still reboots just after the drivers load and when you come back to properties Driver not installed mssg. ?????
