I'm tired of buying a set every couple years. We've gone through three sets of American Tourister and a couple other random brands. We typically travel 3-4 flights per year and between 6-10 overnight motel stays, etc as a family.

I travel much more frequently than that, but typically only carry on, so I don't have any issues.

Seems that the flights are what kill the luggage, obviously with baggage handlers, TSA, conveyors, etc, etc, it roughs them up. Most often, the zippers are broken within one or two trips.

I've looked around a bit and focused on Samsonite because of the name, but I see the same complaints about those that I do American Tourister.

Looking to spend in the $250-$300 range for a decent set, 2-3 piece. Looking for at least one full-size suitcases, preferably with wheels and a handle if I can get it.

Ideally, something I could get locally or via Amazon Prime, because I need it Friday.

Get a set that can be wheeled while the case is vertical.
I guess Samsonite calls it "spinner".

Luggage is one item I can not conceive of buying at any place but a thrift store. Buy it for under five bucks, use it til it falls apart, and then go buy more.
