need some nero help here

ok, after getting everything squared away with my cr-rw drivers, i set up some files to burn. everything looks ok, i click burn and it starts up. soon after, i get:

burn process started at 8x
invalid field in command
could not perform start track
invalid field in command
could not perform fixation
invalid field in command
could not perform fixation
burn process failed at 8x

somebody want to tell me what i'm doing wrong?

running win2k pro, nero 5582, with a sony crx140e cdrw

What drivers where talking about??
Do you have any other burning software installed/running? DirectCD rings a bell?

Take a look at the Nero Help System...

But it seems you either have some other burner software runnging/installed or
something went wrong during the insertion of the CD...

when i went from 98 to 2k, i needed new drivers. i guess the 98's werent compatible.

i just checked and easy cd creator is installed, but it wasnt running when i tried nero.

the cd inserted fine. lemme check out your link

...There's no need for drivers!!

I'm almost 100% certain that your problem is having directCD installed, Nero doesn't like having other burning
software installed... just as test try uninstalling DirectCD and Easy CD Creator and reinstalling nero!!

Also there`s a new update out for Nero version 5590 so try that as well ,but thornc is probably right about the software conflict with the other burn software.

get this:

went to sleep. attempted to illustrate how nero screws up to sibling.

THEN nero decides to work flawlessly.
