Need some major help with windows not booting

I pulled the power plug out of the wall with my foot by accident and now windows won't boot. What happens is the computer will post then the XP boot screen will show up for about 5 seconds and then the screen goes blank and the computer restarts itself.

Any ideas?? I have no idea what to to. I want to try to use the recovery console fixboot or fixmbr command but I'm afraid that I will erase my partition. edit: i have tried safe mode already. same problem.

also if i try to reload windows, it does not see the HD as having a partition on it. this is bad i am guessing.

Help please! i'm freakin' out here.
