Need some info on RAID card LEDs

Hi, I have a server with a Highpoint 1740 Raid card in it. The card has jumpers for LEDs (both activity and failure for each of the 4 drives). The manual only says that only the odd numbered pins are used. They talk of attaching a chassis that has built in LEDs to it, but doesn't state if or how a person could hook up regular LED, as I want to make and wire my own harness. Does anyone have any experience with Highpoint RAID cards or knowledge of how to accomplish this? Thanks, Greg.
