Need some IE help

When I'm using IE, and I click on a link that either opens a new window or I choose to open it in a new one, the new window is always minimized to the task bar....and when I click it to expand, it just pops up to the left and there is nothing. The only way I can display it is to right click on that window in the task bar and click maximize.
How did this happen, and how can I undo it?

 
try cascading ur windows and resizing them. close them after the borders are within the screen area. then open an IE window again. this worked for me once. other times, i was stuck where u r. i didn't really care tho, since it wasn't my computer.

Thanks, it's from an old East Coast Live interview that I taped back in the day. Still have the tape, I really need to get it on my hard drive. The whole interview is hilarious.
