what would be some good places to go on a honeymoon at the beginning of november? i've already asked my fiance but she says she doesn't care and i would like for it to be some kind of surprise.
i've looked at an alaskan cruise, but they don't run in november
a carribbean cruise is a possibility, but they are a little more than i want to spend and that idea just seems too generic to both of us.
there are a few criteria that i would like to stick to if possible:
keep in mind we will be leaving from upstate SC (about 2 hours from atlanta or charlotte)
1. i would like the location to be within driving range (~10-12 hours) because neither of us are terribly fond of flying.
2. consider the weather (we don't mind the cold, but don't want to buy a new wardrobe for the weather either)
3. we don't like to ski
4. i would like to go somewhere that isn't completely tourist and possibly with some historical landmarks
