Need some help

What would cause a stick of ram to not run stable at PC133 CAS3(its default)

I know if the FSB is high it would cause this but would anything else? I have a Asus A7V and a stick of Mushkin PC133. Any suggestions also would the ram being kinda warm cause this? I wouldnt think so but stranger things have happend.

It's probably a defective ram. But the real question is what makes you think it's the ram causing the instability? You can also search for sdram testers on the internet to check the ram.

sounds bad. just email mushkin and they'll have another stick of ram to your door in no time. good support

In my BIOS after setting it from optimal to normal it seems work good and tests fine in goldmemory.

Strange thats the problem but I guess when its set to optimal it's a bit harder on the ram and a couple other things.
