I have small business with a friend of mine . We both work on the business only on the weekends. He has a full time job at another company . They knew of his talent as a design and asked him to create a logo for them to go on a company truck as a favor. There was no contract, but he used two hours of work time to design the logo. It was never full completed.
making things short, my friend got in a fight with his employer over something different and decided not to continue the logo. Someone in the IT department got to the file before my friend could delete it, and they now plan to have some it guy complete the logo and use it on their truck.

Is there anything we can do to stop this? Isn't it stealing a design. What actions can i take to destroy the logo.

I think if he worked on it during that company's time it's theirs. Usually anything an employee creates is the company's property.

That's a fact, unless both parties have expressly agreed otherwise.
