Ok so looking around found a few sites which I can get some good deals as opposed to in the store just haven't EVER dealt with any kind of online jewelry places....

Ice.com
Bluenile.com
Helzberg.com
Ross-Simmons.com

Cashback on 3 of those and coupons for 3 of the same ones make them attractive offers but anyone esle ever order from any of these?Looking for a diamond necklace so worried about quality and of course $$$ anyone with any suggestions?

I have always bought jewelry from a B&M store... I want to see it in person before I lay down my cash for it.

What size diamond(s) do you plan on having in the necklace? Bigger diamonds will show if the quality isn't there over smaller ones. There are more factors in what makes a diamond sparkle nicely than color and clarity, such as symmitry, proportions, and polish. If possible, try and get one that is certified that you can see the ratings on this. I would recommend purchasing diamonds at a store because you can't always tell how it will look without seeing it and moving it around in the light. Even if it is D color and flawless it could still not be very "sparkly" because of a poor polish, for example, which will make it look cloudy. A lot of places will let you purchase diamonds seperately from the setting, so that could also save you some $$ if and you will be able to get exactly what you want. Hope this helps and good luck!

Looking at about 0.5ct nothing to fancy but will be shiny and she likes shiny things and that should't set me back too far maybe 250 hopefully.

$250 is a really good price for a 0.5 ct. diamond plus setting. You may be sacrificing a lot on quality to get that price though.

HOLY COW! tell me where you found that deal!!! 250$ is awesome..but is that total carat weight?

I love blue nile. my fiance and given me my engagement ring from them as well as a beautiful pearl necklace.
I have not heard tons of good from ice.com, but if you find a great deal, go for it.
Diamonds are a great idea!

one I found was from ross-simmons its 349 - 20% coupon makes it 279 and 3.3% cashback so not quite 250 but close.

If ya really need a link here we are:
