Need some help with wireless

When it comes to wired networking, I'm pretty well versed, but I have very limited experience with anything beyond simple wireless networking. Basiclly what I am aiming for is to use my PC's wireless card (ala dual nic) to use my wireless router as a bridge over to my xbox (set the router next to the xbox and just run a wire off it to the box).....I know i can get the xbox wireless kit and not have to setup a bridge and toy with my dns and gateways should be (my wireless card's ip or should they be my nic's?)....oi maybe this would be better suited with a diagram

Cable modem (wire)------> Pc (Wireless)---------> router (wire)--------> xbox

I know i would have to turn off dhcp and do this manually but can it even be done before i spend a few days banging my ehad off the wall

I think you can do ICS, with wired and wireless, then setup your router as an AP and it should work with standard wireless stuff.

Ap/Router wouldn't need to bridge. The compute would be the bridge. Bridging the wired and wireless NIC's. Interesting concept. That is a setup you don't really see very much. In theory it should work. You'd basically uplink the switch on the wireless router via the wireless card. Having those two network interfaces bridged would forward all traffic onto the AP. Might work. If you have the hardware it's pretty easy to find out. Disable DHCP on the second router.
