Need some help with Volcano 5

I got a volcano 5 heatsink and fan. It has whats called a Thermal Pad on the bottom of the heatsink. My question is do I need to put any thermal compound between the heatsink and dye or is the thermal pad enough to transfer the heat from the cpu to the heatsink?
 
The bergquist TIM should be fine. However it's only a one-time use material. If you need to pull off the CPU later, you'll have to remove the TIM and apply some thermal grease.
