Need some help with Sound

I have been having some problems lately and it seems it is coming from the onboard sound. I wanted to run this past you guys to see if you have any fixes or suggestions.

Lately, games such as BF2, CSS and finally F.E.A.R. have been responding with the same problems. Everytime there are a lot of sounds going on at the same time the games get extremely choppy. All of them, once in game, play incredibly well until (especially in FEAR) someone starts talking. BF2 will occasionally crash with a sound file looping even on the desktop. FEAR is extremely chopopy when someone starts talking and whenever the bomb goes off or there is a lot of gunfire in CSS, the game bogs down.

Are there any drivers you guys could point me too?

System Specs:
ASUS A8N SLi-Deluxe
7900GT
1gb
3000+ Athlon 64

Thanks!

I don't use the onboard sound, but a good place to start is the mobo drivers. I have the same mobo as you and I've been using the latest ones off of nVidia's site. Everything has been working great.
I'd recommend making a backup of your system, removing the nVidia drivers (must select "All, including video") in Control Panel, and then boot into Safe Mode and use Driver Cleaner Pro to remove all the nVidia stuff off your system before installing this. You'll also need to reinstall your graphics driver after the chipset driver. This has worked for me at least three times since I've had this mobo.
