Hey I just set up my system exactly how i want it to be set up and decided to back it up with norton ghost.... but when i run a backup on drive C.... it says that it has system files or a paging file that is changing on it. How do I back up my system drive? any help would be great. thanks

I usually do a backup on a second harddrive. Its usually on a removeable rail, second internal or a USB pocket drive, or whatever. Since I was able to get some good deals on hdds on ebay, I just cloned all my pc computers and every few months, reclone again.
I not saying that's what you should do, but its your stuff, do what is best for you. I believe that a second harddrive is in order.

As far as I know, you can't backup a partition to a destination in itself. So if you have one HD and not partitioned, you cannot do it unless you save it on a DVD (re)writeable disk.

If you only have one disk, first make a second partition with partition magic or some other software that can do the trick without erasing your drive's contents, then you'll endup with disk C: and D:. So your system is in drive C:, and you can make a backup to a file located in drive D:.

That's how I did it.
