Need some help with new mobo...

I just got my Kt7a from newegg.com and i'm having alittle trouble... I have it in the case and all ready to go, when I hit the power button the power light just goes on then goes off and no fans start and nothing happens.. Im stumped on what to do.. Please help me!

Do you have the cpu fan plugged into the correct mobo connector? Sounds like the bios won't let it fire up to post.

Also make sure the board is not shorting against any of the motherboard back-plate at all..
that is very important else you might have already wrecked it... hopefully it's not touching.

I don't think it would make a difference, but try switching the ATX power switch connecter around and see if that helps

Just a few tips.. see if those help..

Is your psu an amd approved one? Is it used or new? Umm, you could try reversing the the plug for the power switch on the mobo, or remove it and jumper across it to see it is actually a bad power button...

Make sure your CPU HSF is plugged into the first header near the RAM, or you mobo won't start. At least that's how it is with the KT7, so I imagine the KT7A is the same...

Check your mobo manual.
