Well this is the first computer I am building.
Asus A7Pro Mobo
850tbird
30gig 75gxp ibm
ac 40x cd rom, floppy
mx300
radeon 32mb

K I installed everything with a friend and we went through it together, he's built computers before. Well now we got it to where everything sounds normal. Plugged it in, CPU is going, harddrive sounds right and mobo led is on. But we don't get a picture on my screen. What did we miss? Could you give me some pointers so I can test it in the morning please. It would help alot.

do you get any error bleeps?
try reseating the videocard in case it's not properly seated!

I agree w/ bacillus on this one, check that your vid card is fully seated in the AGP slot. A second thing to consider is checking your memory for full seating. This will also cause a blank screen on boot.

Another thing to check is the floppy cable. I have seen this before and it sounds strange but a mobo won't post with the floppy cable in wrong. To make things a little tricky is that floppies ussually install opposite of ide drives. i.e. if you are looking down at your case laying on its side the ide cables will have their red stripes up at you and the floppy will be down.

One thing to check, good luck :)

Just remembered it is the power connector to check. if you miss a pin on the power of the floppy then the machine won't post.

I would suggest that you unplug everything from the motherboard except for the power, CPU, video card, and one stick of RAM. If that works then you can add stuff one by one and isolate the problem, if not one of the parts are probably defective.
