I ran crystaldiskmark 3.03 x64 on my new ssd, everything is within the range of all the review benchmarks I have read, except the 4k QD32 read score, it is only 71.49. that is 4x lower than the benchmark reviews I have read. the write score is 253.3 I find that baffling. how is writing so fast, yet the reading is so slow? I ran a few standalone 4k QD32 tests, the results are 58, 204, 49. write speed stayed between 251 to 253. from what I understand, the read speed should also be around 250.

I don't understand why? anyone knows how to trouble shoot this? I did use acronis to clone my OS drive from a WD 650gb 7200 rpm, could that have anything to do with this performance anomaly?
 
Is the SSD aligned correctly ?
Use AS SSD to check, no need to run the benchmark... it will say OK or BAD under the drive in question.
