Need some help with MS excel

Okay I am helping my mom out, by creating a spread sheet she can use to easily figure her books for her store. But its beena while since I used excel and I have forgotten some things, and I can't seem to find my answer using help. So here goes.

OKay in a row across I have several columns.

Date, Deposit, Cash, Taxable, Nontaxable, Sales tax, Interest

I want the column for non taxable to have a function stating C2-D2-F2. meaning the column for non taxable would equal Cash-Taxable-Sales Tax=Non taxable. I know how to make that work, my problem is that the date. Each row across will correspond to 1 say of the year. So in the next row down I need the nontaxable function to be C3-D3-F3. And like i said this is for a year, so i don't want to have to enter 365 formulas. Isn't there a way to easily have it change the row numbers?

Just copy the formula to a different cell, and Excel will adjust the row numbers accordingly.

Click in the cell that has the formula you want to copy. The cell will highlight, and in the lower right corner will be a small dot. Drag the dot down as many rows as you want. That's it.

Thanks that did the trick, now I have another question. When i enter an amount such as 45.00, it just lits the 45, it removes the decimal point an zeros. it does not do this with 45.98, just when it ends in 00. I am sure there is an option to fix this, and I have looked through everything i can think of, but I just can't find it. I know there is a place were you can pick how you want the numbers displayed, and thats prolly what I am looking for, but I can't find it.

Select the cells you want to do this to and then click format then cells, then number. In decimal places click 2. If you want the dollar sign select cells click format then cells then currency and find the dollar sign.

That's the cell formatting. Highlite the cells you're interested in, Format > Cells > Number tab. Then probably select number and set the decimal places to 2. Alternately, you can set the cell formatting to currency, but that places a $ in front of everything...
