Need some help with heatsink

Hey guys,

I am buying a 3000+ venice with a DFI motherboard and plan on OCing to about 2700mhz or whatever i can push it to.

I am deciding between the XP-90 and the Zalman CNPS7000A-ALCU

I know that the xp-90 is a little better but is it worth the price difference (fan + heatsink)?

The XP90 with a powerful fan may give you another 50MHz of overclock headroom. I prefer the simplicity of the Zalman 7000/7700.

Is it a lot more complicated to setup the xp90?

Per the "difficulties of installation, I know what you have to do to install the Zalman 7x00 coolers. And I know what you have to do to install the XP120 and XP90. I think the Zalman coolers are more troublesome. But again, on the issue of performance measured by thermal resistance, the ThermalRight units will reduce the spread between idle and load temperature with load measured under PRIME95.

For the Zalman...slap on the back plate, screw on the two brass nipples, and bolt on the Zalman cooler. Go to the Zalman website for more instruction.
