Well I caved and took my 26" Vizio back to Costco when they had a deal on the Vizio 32" 120Hz HDTV.... and it's truely a brilliant screen... gaming has never been better for me. Exactly what the doctor ordered!
But.....The text at 1920x1080 on the desktop and in applications is FUBAR! It looks as if it was rolled on with a paint roller.
The only thing that helped was turning off the sharpness to 0. No matter what tweaks I've tried that I found in the "rare" thread out there regarding this type of issue... didn't help. Tried all the font tweaks I could find.
So the next thing I was going to do was take back the screen and pony up the difference for a true 30" PC display and go figure.... NOW they don't sell them.
I understand when you take 1920x1080 that is normally sharp on a 22" panel and expand that res to a 32" it's going to have a larger dot pitch.... but my gawd. My buddies 55" HDTV doesn't have this issue.
Oh yeah it's hooked up from a DVI - HDMI cable.
