Greetings !!

I have a GeForce3 card on my windows box that I use to play everquest. I love the image quality when I enable 2xAA but it mangles the text to be almost unreadable. Have any of you fine folks ever encountered text issues with AntiAliasing in EQ (or other games) before and what do you suggest I do to correct it

I'm using the driver version specificlly recomended by the makers of the game.

AA is always going to blurr the text no way around it. Don't bother using the drivers that the game creators tell you to because usually they are outdated versions.

Indeed however with the Voodoo5500 I had been using previously the text was still quite readable.
I suppose I should rephrase my question to read:

Are there settings I can use on the GeForce 3 to make it's AntiAliasing appear to look more like that of the Vodoo5500?

I don't use FSAA ever regardless of the card. It's far better to crank up the resolution because it fixes more things than FSAA does plus it sharpens everything instead of blurring it.

Well not if your running max res on cstrike and still getting 85 FPS (due to hz relliance) then you switch on quincux (sp?) it still gives 85 FPS and much better graphics then you go 4X FSAA and still get 50-60 + FPS with slightly better graphics I like the 85 with 2x FSAA and yuor stupid not to get it for better graphics.

Neither 2x or 4x should have an effect on text because it's not supersampled at all. Quincunx blurs by definition. Are you sure you don't have a geforce 2?

Not all of us can crank the resolution BFG10K due to older monitors, my best refresh rate is at 1280x, and my ti500 does that with 2x or quincunx just fine.
