I have a server at an SBC colocation center, basically it's just a connection broker for the actual web service that we are providing, it really doesn't do much except for logging our services usage. The machine is a dell 2450 with 2 network cards, one open to the public world, the other with a private IP that connects to a load balancer then to the database servers.
The problem: The public interface keeps loosing it's internet connection, but the network card still works. I can ping it, I can connect to it via VNC or Remote Desktop (terminal services). However, the macine cannot get to the internet, cannot ping, SSH, or telnet to anything except for it's default gateway (Cisco 2621 router). The connection broker service running on it only requires port 443. All 7 of the other machines there are up and running just fine.
